What to know before you ride.
Yes. Anyone can use PEDAL QUEST for free, and you can begin the core experience without creating an account.
No. The core web and app experience works without an account. Sign-in is required for cloud sync, publishing PEDALFOLIO, viewing or posting to Feed, friend requests and follows, Chat, Group Ride, creating or posting in Event Room, finding or sharing friends’ ghosts, and Challenge modes.
Core features are free for everyone, with no account or payment details required. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and terms will be shown before you subscribe.
FOUNDERS PASS is a campaign code shared through the official Instagram account and other channels. Entering a code unlocks released premium-equivalent features at no additional charge. Core features remain available without a code. Invite-only, coming-soon, in-development, and concept features are excluded.
No. Simply using PEDAL QUEST will never move you into a paid subscription. If paid plans are introduced, you will see the price and terms first and will only be charged after explicitly subscribing.
For outdoor rides, start with a smartphone and bicycle. For indoor rides or detailed measurement, you can add a compatible trainer, Bluetooth sensor, or power meter. See the support page (Japanese).
No. PEDAL QUEST is not designed for staring at or configuring the screen while moving. Stop in a safe place before checking or changing anything, and always prioritize road conditions, traffic laws, and people around you.
Location is used to record rides and provide sharing features you choose to enable. For details about collection, purpose, retention, third-party sharing, and deletion, see the privacy policy (Japanese).
PEDALFOLIO is a public rider profile created from your ride data. It brings your name, bio, social links, RIDER CARD, and public ghosts into one URL. Other riders can follow, support, or jump directly into a public ghost challenge.
It is a mode for challenging the fastest in-app time under fixed course and timing rules. Season 1 is already underway, with Japan Q3 2026 currently live. It is not an official world record certified by a sporting federation or governing body.
Yes. PEDAL QUEST is not only about speed. You can enjoy discovering roads, building consistency, collecting achievements, and comparing yourself with your past rides.
Chat lets riders exchange messages. Group Ride lets multiple riders create and join ride meetups.
Yes. Live Meet is currently available to everyone from inside the app.
Ride data is saved continuously. After restarting, the recovery screen lets you continue or save and finish. Some modes, including challenges and ghosts, may require the ride to end rather than continue because of competition rules. Depending on the device, OS, browser, and timing, some final data may not be reflected.
A Privacy Zone marks a location as protected and hides precise positions and route coordinates within the selected radius when sharing. Choose 100 m, 300 m, or 500 m and save up to five zones. It applies to Feed, GPX/TCX/CSV exports, and normal Live Meet location sharing. It does not delete or alter the saved ride itself.
You can share ride-result images, public PEDALFOLIO URLs, and PEDAL QUEST WORLD RECORD cards. Public ghosts can be shared as challenge links so another rider can race them directly.
No. Live Meet supports group location sharing and meeting up. It does not guarantee accident detection, exact current position, notification delivery, emergency calls, or rescue. LAST BEACON is still in product design and is not publicly available.
